Why Has My Uber Eats Order Disappeared from The App?
When an Uber Eats Order disappears, it’s because the merchant or delivery driver canceled the order. Orders can also be canceled or lost due to a glitch in the Uber Eats app or ordering system, though it’s rare that this happens.
If a restaurant cannot fulfill your order, they can cancel it. Sometimes they run out of ingredients, have too many orders as it is, or are unable to accommodate certain requests.
They can also cancel if there are no drivers available or willing to take your order.
When a delivery driver cancels an order it’s likely because they couldn’t get a hold of you.
Since they’re instructed to contact you at the time of delivery, they can cancel your order if they don’t reach you.
Drivers are instructed by Uber Eats to leave after 10 minutes of waiting at the delivery address and are not required to make additional efforts to wait for you or to deliver your food.
Will I Be Notified If My Uber Eats Order is Canceled?
If a merchant can’t complete your order, you should receive a notification that you need to change your order or cancel altogether. If you don’t update your order, it will automatically be canceled after 10 minutes of the notification.
Otherwise, you should receive a notification that your order has been canceled. If you don’t receive notifications, you can check the status of your order from your Uber Eats account.
What Do I Do If My Uber Eats Order Disappeared or Got Canceled?
If your Uber Eats order was canceled or if you never received your delivery, you can try ordering again or contacting the restaurant directly. You can also contact Uber Eats directly through the app, in the help section of their website, their Twitter account, or by phone.
Sometimes a delivery can’t be fulfilled for the reasons mentioned above, the driver already has a lot of orders and is taking longer than anticipated, or the driver got lost.
It’s also important to track your order through your account. This should be updated regularly and allow you to check-in with your order.
If you still haven’t received your order and your order can’t be tracked or hasn’t been updated in a while, contact the driver or Uber Eats immediately. The longer you wait to resolve the issue, the less likely you’ll be able to get a refund.
My Uber Eats Order Says It’s Been Delivered But I Haven’t Gotten It – What Do I Do?
According to the Uber Eats help section, you should contact the driver as soon as possible if they’ve marked your order as delivered but you haven’t received it or been contacted by the driver. To do this, you will select “Help” on the order screen or “Get Help” on the home screen and then follow the prompts.
If you’ve ordered through Cornershop, you can also contact their customer support team directly through their website.
If your delivery status says delivered but you haven’t gotten your delivery and the driver hasn’t attempted to contact you, contact Uber Eats support lines immediately.
Can I Get a Refund?
Each case is different when it comes to refunds, so make sure to take screenshots and contact Uber Eats as soon as possible for the best chance of getting a refund or finding another solution.
According to Uber Eats, you may be eligible for a full or partial refund if you were charged for an order that has been canceled by the merchant or driver. If your order’s status is marked as delivered, but the driver never attempted to contact you or deliver the order, you may also be eligible for a refund.
It’s important to contact them within 48 hours, as they can’t guarantee a refund or resolution after that timeframe. Typical refund times are within a week, but there have been customer-reported times of 3 or more weeks.
To submit a complaint or refund request, you can email or call their support lines. However, the easiest way is to go to their page for missing or wrong orders. From there, you’ll log in, provide the necessary information about your missing order, upload screenshots of your order status, and submit your complaint.
If the driver has made a reasonable attempt to contact you and wait the instructed time, you will not be eligible for a refund. The same applies if you’ve selected the “leave at door” delivery option and the driver has photographic proof that they delivered.

Uber Eats Order Never Arrived
If your Uber Eats order never arrived, the merchant or delivery driver likely canceled the order. Sometimes the Uber Eats app or ordering software has a glitch that prevents orders from going through or being updated, but this is rare and very unlikely.
In this case, you can contact the restaurant, Uber Eats driver, or the UberEats customer support lines for help or to issue a complaint.
Depending on the exact situation, you may be able to receive a partial or full refund.
